Wellington Down Syndrome Association

Welcome to the wdsa

Wellington Down Syndrome Association is a free membership organisation. We value and support people with Down syndrome, providing encouragement, information and resources to parents, families and health professionals.

Wellington Down Syndrome Association Mission

The Wellington Down Syndrome Association supports, educates and advocates for the Down syndrome community in the greater Wellington Region.

Wellington Down Syndrome Association

We help by supporting parents (particularly new parents) with community contact, welcome packs and linking to other information and resources.

We’re always running regular events like the Frances Clarke Memorial Awards, Wellington Down Syndrome Association Christmas party and have opportunities for the Down syndrome community to connect and build relationships through various age group catch ups.

The WDSA provides educational resources and support to parents and schools where appropriate. We help to promote the Wellington Down syndrome community with stories, events and other information, advocating for the fantastic people in our community that have Down syndrome.
